NERIE Shillong B.Ed Admission 2024 Notification
North East Regional Institute of Education (NERIE), Umaim, Shillong, is one of the 05 Regional Institutes of NCERT and has the mandate to provide academic and technical support on all aspects of Education to the Governments of 08 North Eastern states – Assam, Meghalaya Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
NERIE Shillong is currently offering 02 year regular B.Ed course for the students from the North East Region. Total intake of candidates is 50 + 5 EWS. There is a state quota for each of the states and reservations is done as the Govt of India norms. Admission will be done through the CEE 2024 Examination to be held at various centres. Candidates would be given three options for the examination centre.
Interested and eligible candidates from North East states of India may apply online through the official website @cee.ncert.gov.in. The last date of receiving online application form is 31 May 2024.
Eligibility Criteria for NERIE Shillong B.Ed Admission 2024
The eligibility criteria for 2 year regular B.Ed course at NERIE, Umiam is as mentioned below:-
- Candidates with at least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree and /or in the Master’s degree in Science/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science or Mathematics or in Bachelor’s Degree and/ or in the Master’s Degree in Social Science/ Humanities are eligible for admission to the programme (relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
- Candidate with Bachelor’s Degree on Science/ Master Degree in Science/ BE/ BTech (Science/Maths) are eligible for BEd (Science & Maths Group) and candidates with Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science / Humanities or Master Degree in Social Science Humanities are eligible for B.Ed (Social Science & Language Group) respectively.
