AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
AFCAT 1 2024 Eligibility: The Indian Air Force has set different eligibility criteria for technical and non-technical posts. Candidates must ensure that they meet all the eligibility parameters such as age limit, nationality, marital status, etc. The overall eligibility criteria for AFCAT 2024 are as follows:-
Nationality: The candidate opting to apply for the exam must be a citizen of India as per the Indian citizenship act, 1955.
Marital Status: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/ Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are also not eligible.
AFCAT Educational Qualification
The Post-Wise educational qualification for AFCAT 01/2024 is given below:-
1. Flying Branch: 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and Graduation with at least three years of a degree course with a minimum of 60% marks or BE/B Tech degree (Four years course) with at least 60% marks.
2. Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and at least four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology.
3. Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch: 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline with at least 60% marks.

AFCAT Age Limit
The age limit prescribed for AFCAT 2024 exam is 20 and 24 years for the flying branch and 20 to 26 years for the Ground Duty posts.

AFCAT Salary / Stipend
- Cadets in the final year of training will be given a stipend of Rs. 56,100/-
- After successful completion of training, Level 10 Young Air Officers will be allotted in the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix (Rs. 56,100/- to 1,10,700/-)
- Military Service Pay of Rs. 15,500 will also be included.

AFCAT Selection Process
The selection process for AFCAT 2024 includes three stages which are a computer-based test, AFSB, and Medical Exam.
- Computer Based Test: The primary stage for the selection of candidates in the Indian Air Force ( IAF) is through the AFCAT Online Examination. Candidates will have to appear for the AFCAT( Air Force Common Admission Test) which will be held for 300 marks. Also note that no online test will be conducted for NCC Special Entry.
- AFSB Test (Air Force Selection Board): The shortlisted applicants will be called for the interview or the personality test. This round will screen the candidates on their persona and intellect.
- Medical Examination: The applicants must be medically fit to be eligible for the job.
AFCAT Application Fee
- A Non refundable fee of Rs. 550/- for AFCAT entry may be paid online payment mode.
- Not applicable for NCC Special entry and Meteorology.

Air Force AFCAT Exam 01/2024 Online Registration and Submission process will be ended on 30 December 2023. Applicants must fulfil all essential eligibility criteria (educational qualification, age limit, etc.) in respect to that post for which they are applying.
