CM Atmarnirbhar Asom Abhiyan 2024: The Chief Minister of Assam, Srimanta Himanta Biswa Sarma announced to start Assam State’s biggest self employment generation scheme, called “Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme”. The main objective of Assam Govt behind starting this Scheme is to encourage self income generating activities among youths and to promote entrepreneurship in Assam. The Last date to apply has been extended till 21 January 2024.
The Govt of Assam will provide free of cost skill and entrepreneurship training of 1 month to all eligible youths of Assam State. Now Assam Govt will provide the Interest Free Loan under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme to Trained Youth so that they can start their own income generating activity and become self employed.

CM Atmarnirbhar Asom Abhijan 2023: The Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Assam Abhijan 2023 is a govt scheme launched by the Govt of Assam under the leadership of the honorable CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma that provides financial assistance along with skill based training to entrepreneurs (business person) and youths to improve businesses in Assam.
Assam Atmanirbhar Scheme directly benefits the unemployed youths or the small entrepreneurs (business person) who belongs to BPL and Low Income Group Families of Assam. Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme is also known by some other name in Assam like “Chief Miniser Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan” “Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Scheme” or “Assam Chief Minister Atmanirbhar Scheme or “Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbharshil Asom Abhiyan“. All the youth/citizens of Assam who are unemployed and want to learn Skill Training must apply online for CM Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan from 23 September 2023 to 21 January 2024. 07 November 2023.
This entrepreneurship loan will consist Govt Aid which will not to be returned back to bank. Loan Amount under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme are Rs. 2,00,000/- to Rs. 5,00,000/-. This loan will be provided in 2 instalment and this consist both Government Grant and Interest Free Loan. It is to be estimated that 2 lakh youth will get benefit of Mukhyamantrir Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme in 2 Years.
After Training, Trained Youth will start any of the below mentioned activity under Mukhyamantri Atmanirbharshil Asom Scheme:-
- Self Employment Activity in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Dairy and Poultry.
- Packaging Business.
- Ready Made Garments Business.
- Plantation.
- Setting Up of Wood Based Industry.
- Fabrication Work.
- Hardware.
- Any Other Self Income Generation Activity.

Atmarnirbhar Assam Eligibility
- The applicant should be permanent resident of Assam.
- The applicant should possess skills, experiences, knowledge, etc, to undertake the income generating activities.
- The applicants should have a bank account, which has been opened before 31 December 2023.
- The applicant should have not defaulted any loan taken from Co-operative and Nationalized Bank in the past.
- Not more than one member from any family shall be eligible for availing benefit under this scheme.
- The applicant must have valid registration in the Employment Exchange.

- Maximum Age: 40 years
Upper age limit is relaxed upto 43 years for SC/ST/OBC category.
