Ishan Uday Scholarship 2023: Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme is a special scholarship scheme launched by the University Grand Commission (UGC) for the students of North Eastern Region (NER). The selected students will be awarded Rs. 5,400/- to Rs. 7,800/- per month. The last date to apply is 31 December 2023.
Ishan Uday Scholarship 2023 Notification
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), invites applications from excellent students of the Northeast Region of India through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) for the Ishan Uday Scholarship 2023.
Under Ishan Uday scholarship scheme, a total of 10 thousand fresh scholarships are disbursed every year among the NER students who are pursuing general degree courses, technical and professional courses, including medical and paramedical courses. A monthly amount of up to Rs. 7,800/- is given to the scholarship winners every year until the completion of their degree course.

Ishan Uday Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Ishan Uday Scholarship for the North East Region, the candidate must fulfill the mentioned eligibility criteria:
- The candidate must be a 12th pass student with the domicile of North East from a school situated in Northeast Region through any recognized Board of Education, including CBSE, ICSE, and NIOS within NER.
- The candidate must have taken admission in general degree courses, Technical/ Medical/ Professional/ Paramedical Courses.
- For availing scholarship under this scheme, the income of the parents of the student should not exceed Rs.4.5 lakh per annum.
Ishan Uday Scholarship Documents Required
The students willing to apply for Ishan Uday scholarship 2023 needs the list of these documents to be uploaded while filling out the application form.
- Domicile certificates issued by a competent authority.
- Income certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Aadhaar card.
- Marksheets/ annual progress report verified by the concerned University/ Institution/ College, in case of renewal of the scholarship.

- Click on New Registration link to under Applicant Corner section.
- Enter your details as required in the portal and register yourself.
- After registration, enter all credentials and upload your documents as required in the portal.
