Assam Silpi Pension Scheme 2023: Silpi Pension is a Welfare Scheme provided by the Assam Govt to support the Artists of Assam. Those artists and families who have made outstanding Contribution in the field of Art & Culture of Assam will be given financial aid and Pension. The last date to apply is 03 November 2023.
There are 4 types of Scheme under the Silpi Pension Scheme which are – Artist Pension, Family Pension, One time Barxik Silpi Sanman (Ex Gratia Grand) and One time Special Financial Assistance to Families of Deceased Artists.
Assam Silpi Pension Scheme 2023 Notification
The Govt of Assam through the Directorate of Cultural Affairs has announced the Assam Award of Pension to Artists and Special Pension to their Families. This initiative also includes a one time financial assistance known as “Barxik Silpi Sanman (Ex Gratia Grand)”
The Assam Silpi scheme aims to recognize and provide financial support Provide to the Artists of Assam as a token of recognition to their outstanding contribution in the field of Art and Culture, and special family pensions will be offered to the families of needy artistes who had made glorious contributions in the State’s cultural sphere and have unfortunately passed away.
The submission of online applications has already started. Interested and eligible can apply Shilpi pension form 2023-24 @directorculture.assam.gov.in and @silpisanmanassam.com. The Directorate will receive applications till 03 November 2023.

Assam Silpi Pension Eligibility
- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- The age of the applicant for Silpi Pension must be 60 years or above.
- An artist who has made outstanding contributions in the field of Art & Culture is eligible for Assam Silpi Pension Scheme.
- Indigent families of artists who had made spectacular contributions in the State’s cultural sphere and have unfortunately passed away.
- One applicant with one mobile number can apply/register only once.

Assam Silpi Pension Amount
The Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Hemanta Biswa Sharma has launched the Silpi Pension Scheme to give several benefits to the Artists in the State. The category wise benefits of Assam Silpi Scheme is given below:-
