Assam Sports Talent Search Scholarship 2023: The Directorate of Youth and Sports Welfare, Govt of Assam is going to start the process for rewarding the Sports Talent Search Scholarship 2023-24 to the eligible sports talents of the Assam State. The last date to apply is 30 September 2023.
Assam Sports Talent Search Scholarship 2023 Notification
Applications are invited from the eligible players of Assam for the Sports Talent Search Scholarship through the Directorate of Youth and Sports Welfare under Assam Government. The players of Assam State, who have carried medal in the State level and National level Championships are eligible for this scholarship. For school students, the applicant should not be more than 19 years as on 31 March 2023. For Non-Students, College and University students, the applicant should not be more than 25 years as on 31 March 2023. A relaxation of 5 years is permited in case of Para Olympic and Special Olympic players.
As per the Sports Talent Search Scholarship 2023 Advertisement Notification, the candidates are advised to submit their applications from 21 to 30 September 2023 at the respective District Sports Office. The Sports Talent Search Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of performance in the both State Level and National Level competitions. Applicants must apply in only one discipline in which they achieved their highest performance during the financial year from 01 April 2022 to 31 March 2023 in the National Level and State Level championships.

Assam Sports Talent Search Scholarship Eligibility
Assam Sports Scholarship Eligibility: To be eligible for Assam Sports Scholarship 2023, the applicant must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Assam.

Assam Sports Talent Search Scholarship Selection Process
The Sports Talent Search Scholarship in Assam will be awarded on the basis of performance in State Level & National Level Competitions.
1. State Level
Member of Champion and Runner-up teams and those attaining the 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions in individual discipline or event in the State level Competitions, organized by the Directorate of sports & Youth Welfare Assam, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, State Sports Associations (Recognized by Assam Olympic Association) Khelo India, Para Olympic Association, Special Olympic Bharat, Inter College are eligible for the Assam Sports Scholarship 2023.
2. National Level
Member of Winner and Runners-up teams and those attaining the 1st, 2nd & 3rd position in individual discipline or event in National level Competitions, organized by the SGFI (School Games Federation of India), NSF (National Sports Federations)/ Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India/ Inter University Sports organized by the authorized University Sports Control Board/ Khelo India/ Para Olympic Association/ Special Olympic Bharat, are eligible for Assam Sports Scholarship 2023.
Assam Talent Search Scholarship Amount
The amount of Assam Sports Scholarship for State level and National Level champions has been shared below:

Note 1: Applications of full time employees will not be considered for the award if he/she is working in Government Department/ Undertaking/ PSUs.
Note 2: The Sports Talent Search Scholarship will be awarded for 1 year and one time only.
How to Apply for Assam Talent Search Scholarship 2023?
To apply for Assam Sports Scholarship 2023, eligible applicants will have to collect applications form from 21 September 2023 from their respective District Sports Office and submit the application form along with all the required documents (as asked) on or before 30 September 2023 in their District Sports Office.
Note 1: No applications will be issued and received directly by the Assam Directorate of Spots and Youth Welfare, in favour of any applicant.
