CBSE Merit Scholarship 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is awarding scholarships to Single Girl Child. The girls who have performed well in Class X by scoring at least 60% marks will receive the benefits of this CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started to accept online applications for providing the CBSE single girl child scholarship 2023. Eligible girl students can apply online by visiting the official website of CBSE. Eligible candidates will get the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship amount of 500 rupees per month for a year under this CBSE single girl child scholarship scheme 2023.
The Central Board of Secondary Education provides various scholarships to their students according to their categories. The single girl child scholarship is also provided by the CBSE each year. This is a two year scholarship program that is provided on an annual basis only. You can apply for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2022 (Renewal 2023) after completing of 1 year. Beneficiaries will get Rs. 500 per month from the CBSE for educational purposes. CBSE Merit Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Eligibility: The applicants must fulfill the following eligibility to be eligible for the CBSE Merit Scholarship 2023:-
- The candidate should be the single girl child of her family.
- The applicant should have secured 60% or more marks in the Class 10th Examination and be studying Class 11th & 12th in the CBSE Schools.
- The tuition fee should not be more than Rs. 1,500/- per month during the academic year. In the next two years, the total enhancement in tuition fees in such a school shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
- The applicant must be an Indian National.
- The student must continue her school studies in Classes 11th and 12th.The applicant should have passed the CBSE Class 10th Examination in 2019.
NOTE: NRI applicants of the CBSE Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs has been marked maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
CBSE Merit Scholarship Selection Process
The selection for CBSE Girl Child Scholarship 2023 will be made through the percentage of class 10 examination.
- Students must have passed Class X examination from the CBSE and secured a minimum of 60% or above marks.
For Renewal:
- Candidates must received the CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship last year.
- Candidate must be a student of CBSE in class XI in the previous year and scored 50% or above marks in class XI and promoted to class XII.
- Candidate must be in Class XI & XII from CBSE affiliated Schools.
- Students (Girls) will be the only child of their parents.
- Tuition Fee must be not more than Rs. 15,000 per month in class X and 10% enhancement for Class XI and XII.
- All the applications must be verified from the present school where the student is studying.

- Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.
