About Central Selection Board | CSB
The Central Selection Board (CSB) is a recruiting body responsible for conducting competitive examinations and selecting candidates for various government posts under multiple departments within the BTR region by the BTR govt.
BTR region includes five districts of Assam state – Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, Udalguri, and Tamulpur.
The CSB was formed during the BPF-led BTC govt tenure (2013 – 2020). The last CSB recruitment was in 2019. After the BTC election 2020, the CSB was reactivated again in March 2024 by releasing job advertisements in the forest department of the BTC government.
Though the Assam govt recruits candidates for many government departments in the whole of Assam, including the BTR region, with the CSB functioning again, the BTR govt may now onwards recruit candidates in departments that are under the BTC government and the rest by the Assam govt.
