Assam Rifles Rifleman Promotion
Promotion criteria in Assam Rifle:- Condition applies (i) If you are general caste (ii) if you belongs to ST/SC and (iii) important their should be vacancy for higher rank at unit in which you will be assigned.
If you are general caste, after 12 months training you will promoted to Rifleman. Then Rifleman to Havaldar – 19 to 21 years of service, then Havladar to Warrant Officer – 28 to 33, then Junior Commissioned Officer (Naib Subedar) – 34 to 35 years of service till then your age will be 55 to 56 years old. If you are lucky and your unit has vacancy otherwise you will go supernation in the rank of Havaldar or Warrant Officer.
If you are ST/SC, 12 months of training you will promoted to Rifleman. Then Rifleman to Havaldar 12 to 14 years of service from Havaldar to Warrant Officer 17 to 19 yrs, and for Junior Commissioned Officer 24 to 26 years of service. It also depends on unit vacancy.
