Admission to B.Tech Lateral Entry (3rd Semester)
Joint Lateral Entrance Examination (JLEE) is basically an entrance exam, each year conducted by the Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) for admission to 3rd semester of B.Tech programme for that specific academic session . So, JLEE is the gateway for admission to the 4 year B.Tech. courses under Engineering Colleges in Assam for diploma holders through lateral entry scheme.
So, if you have passed polytechnic Diploma from Polytechnic College and willing to take admission in 3rd Semester of B.Tech degree for Academic session 2023-24 in the Engineering Colleges of Assam then you have to appear JLEE entrance exam which is going to held from 22 May 2022 conduct by Assam Science and Technology University.
Eligibility Criteria
Assam JLEE Exam Eligibility Criteria: ASTU has released the eligibility criteria of Assam JLEE 2023 on the official website in the prospectus. With the help of Assam JLEE eligibility criteria 2023 candidates will gather knowledge about their academic qualifications, pass percentage, age criteria, and other details. Here is the detailed eligibility of the Assam JLEE exam:
- It is mandatory for the candidates that they must have passed a recognized diploma with a minimum 3 years duration from any polytechnic institution affiliated to State Council of Technical Education (SCTE), Assam.
- Candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in their diploma examination.
- Only permanent residents of Assam will be allowed to participate in the Assam JLEE 2023 exam.
- Candidates appearing in the final exams of their diploma course can also appear for the exam but have to submit their original mark sheet along with the passing certificate of the final diploma as stipulated.
Age Limit
JLEE Assam Age Limit: The Assam JLEE (Joint Lateral Entrance Examination) 2023 has set certain age limit.
- The candidates should not be less than 20 years and not more than 26 years on 01 July 2023.
